The mission of Kiva Elementary School Parent and Teacher Organization (PTO) is to develop a closer connection between school and home by encouraging parent involvement; enhance the educational experience; provide financial support; and improve the community at Kiva Elementary by providing community building events such as Family Fun Night, Dads & Donuts, Moms & Muffins, Sweetheart Dance, Mother/Son Kickball and Family Kingo Night. The PTO provides much needed financial support for instructional, playground, and cafeteria; the all-volunteer run Masterpiece Art Program (MAPs), and a variety of support for on-campus events to enrich our student’s educational experience. Kiva PTO coordinates/sponsors monthly teacher/staff luncheons and gives funds to teachers for their classrooms.
There are many opportunities to get involved with the Kiva PTO and be a part of your child’s educational experience. The PTO meets once a month. We strive for diversity that will give a voice to all children and families. We support the “KIVA BEST” and the “Kiva Be Kind” programs, encourage our kids to remember that KIVA stands for: K=Kindness, I=Integrity, V=Volunteerism, A=Academics.
